2024 Quarry Challenge
The 2024 Quarry Challenge was hosted by the Friends of the South Rockwood Library at Sylvania Minerals quarry in South Rockwood, Michigan. Sunday, September 29, 2024 was the biggest year for the challenging course. Almost 280 people registered for this years 5k run/walk through the active mining quarry. This year we had the extra challenge of rain for two days, making for a more exciting and tough workout while experiencing some spectacular views.
