E. C. Korneffel Company Partners with Great Lakes Aggregates

*UPDATE* New video and photos of Phase II available below!  The E. C. Korneffel Company of Trenton, Michigan was awarded the Stony Island Habitat Restoration project located on the Detroit River near Grosse Isle. Korneffel partnered with Great Lakes Aggregates to supply nearly 50,000 tons of limestone rip rap and other various aggregates necessary for the project.

The wetland restoration along the shoreline will greatly benefit multiple species of fish, waterfowl, and migratory birds as well as improve the overall habitat in the region. The project is well underway and will be completed in 2017.
